After coan’s release ‚Acht Winter‘ on our label last december, the time has come to hear a little bit more from one of the duo. DJ Baeks -also Robot Army resident and organizer- created a deep and groovy summertechno mix for Filou-Music’s Podcast series. He himself describes the vinyl mix as „a crate digging round trip through two decades of electronic music – oscillating somewhere between analog, detroity and jackin moods“. no more words to say – enjoy!

Mit dem Produzentengespann coan begrüssen wir zwei alte Bekannte auf Filou-Music. Hinter dem Namen coan verbergen sich Baeks von Robot Army, den wir schon aus seinen Zeiten als Mentor der Headquarters im alten Tresor / Berlin kennen und Henkins Hain, der uns schon vor 2 Jahren mit seinem Track ‚Fieber‘ auf unserem Label sehr beeindruckte.
Mit ihrem Release ‚Acht Winter‘ liefern sie nun gleich vier Tracks ab. Von treibenden Beats und atmosphärischen Breaks bis hin zu bruchstückhaften Melodien sowie herrlich verspulten, schrägen Sounds ist hier alles enthalten. Sehr schön auch die etwas düsteren und geheimnisvollen Vocals, die e:rd (? III // wnt3r) zu dem Track ‚Mein Herz‘ beigesteuert hat.
Im Gegensatz zu ihrem ersten Release ‚Acht Sommer‘ auf photo-verlag feiert coan den Winter mit tanzbarem Techno, der so manche Überraschung in sich birgt und bestens auf die Tanzfläche passt.
Man könnte hier noch einiges zu dieser Ep sagen, aber hört es euch selbst an…wir wünschen viel Spaß dabei !
We are happy to welcome two good old friends – the producerteam coan on Filou-Music – a collaboration between Baeks and HenkinsHain.
We know Baeks as he was a mentor of the Headquarters at the old Tresor club and Henkins Hain who already impressed us two years ago with his track ‚Fieber‘ on our label.
With the release ‚Acht Winter‘ they deliver four tracks ranging from impellent beats and atmospheric breaks to broken melodys with splendid twisted sounds, everything is in here. Very nice are the dark and spooky vocals that erd: contributed to the track ‚Mein Herz‘.
In contrast to their last release ‚acht Sommer‘ on photo-verlag coan now celebrates the winter with danceable Techno, that contains some surprises and fits best on the floor and for workout.
